Raw Mango Chutney | Kachche Aam ki Chutney

This is a delightfully tangy raw mango or green mango chutney with the flavours of raw mango and mint. Lip smackingly tasty and versatile.

Ingredients

  • 1 raw mango or green mango
  • 2 green chillies less or more as per taste
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • ½ cup mint
  • 3 cloves garlic optional
  • 1 tsp. salt or as per taste
  • 2 pinches sugar optional

Instructions

  • Peel the raw mango and chop into cubes.
  • Chop cilantro, mint leaves and chillies.
  • Peel garlic cloves.
  • Take all the ingredients in a chutney jar or small blender.
  • Add just 1-2 tbsp. of water to help in blending.
  • Blend to a fine chutney. Taste and adjust salt if needed.

Notes

1. Using fresh ingredients really enhances the taste of this chutney. It needs no cooking at all.
2. While blending in a blender, use very little water. It must be thick and not watery. 
3. Also keep pushing the ingredients down so that the chutney ingredients get properly blended.
4. If you want, you can skip the garlic. You can adjust green chillies as per taste. You may use Thai chillies, Serrano chillies or jalapeños here if you can’t find Indian green chillies.
